Here is exactly what happens to your £50:

• If you attend and do not proceed to a CBCT scan — your £50 is returned in full.
• If you bring an existing CBCT scan with you (we’re happy to review scans taken elsewhere) — your £50 is returned in full.
• If you’d like a full treatment plan, a 3D CBCT scan is required: £125 for one jaw, £200 for upper & lower. Your £50 deposit comes off the scan fee — so a single-jaw scan becomes £75, both jaws becomes £150.

The CBCT scan fee is a clinical charge — it covers the cost of running the scanner and is not credited toward any later treatment. We’ve tried to keep it as low as we honestly can; without the scan, accurate implant planning simply isn’t possible.

The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia, so you feel no pain during surgery. • Local anaesthetic alone is how most of our full-arch cases are done — you are numb but fully aware. We apply a topical numbing gel to the gums before every injection, so even the injection itself is barely noticeable. Most patients tell us afterwards it was far less uncomfortable than they feared. Included in your treatment fee.
• Lorazepam is a mild oral anti-anxiety tablet taken shortly before your appointment. It takes the edge off without putting you to sleep. We issue the private prescription at no extra charge — you collect it from your pharmacy (pharmacy fees vary; Lorazepam itself is inexpensive). You’ll need someone to bring you and take you home.
• IV sedation is for patients who need deeper calm. A qualified sedationist attends your appointment specifically for your case; you stay conscious and breathing on your own, but the procedure tends to feel like it passed in a blur. £950 additional fee covers the sedationist attending. You’ll need a responsible adult to collect you and stay with you overnight.

We verify stability by measuring insertion torque — we only proceed when we achieve at least 35 Ncm. Even then, placing permanent high-strength zirconia immediately risks micromovement during healing, which can cause the implant to fail. The provisional bridge you receive on the day is designed to protect integration while giving you fixed, functional teeth.
